Task Guide – Creating a multiplatfom VR game out of 3D animations – Distributing your content

You’ve made your scene; it’s awesome; and you’re feeling awesome having made a new thing for 2D and VR. What do you do now to get this into people’s hands on the internet? Can you sell it? Is this your new job?

Maybe! As we’re finishing up Besti X we’re working towards a distribution platform online where you can get the things you make into people’s hands, and they can buy it from you. Making games takes a long time, and even though you used the BestiSDK to handle the esoteric aspects of making games, it’s still your creation. We don’t have an ETA for the store launch but it’s coming as soon as it’s ready.

Until we have that available, we have a couple options:

Option 1: You can of course give the ibmi and ibms files to people and they can run it. The discord server will have a ready-made audience of folks willing to give it a try.

Option 2: You can contact Skunkfrakker and he’ll probably fucking pay you for it if you agree to give feedback on the process of making it. We can distribute it for you via the Besti launcher, and make custom tools if you need them. As long as it doesn’t get us in trouble (no human lolicon stuff, specifically) we can set something up.

Option 3: You can license a binary to have your creation(s) be a standalone thing. You can just distribute an EXE to your customers. If you have an audience that you think would like what you make, and want an easy-to-use VR and 2D solution, we’ve got one. We can work out a solution that works for everyone. Drop Skunkfrakker a line.
